it's a new show! 🔮

Hullo, I hope you’ve all been balls deep in chocolate or other nice things over Easter. I work in the day for a Dutch company so I spent last week in meetings having to not only explain but defend the concept of a “Creme Egg”, which is exactly what Jesus would have wanted.

I’ve been working as a dramaturg with Swipe Right Theatre on a new musical about the Fox Sisters: three women who held sessions as mediums where people could hear their dead loved ones communicate from the other side by “knocking.” The sisters kick-started the English Spiritualism movement, may be history’s first female organised con artists, and were very chaotic and fun.

Honestly lads, if I can learn to pole dance then truly a broom handle could learn to pole dance.

The next round of 8-week pole dancing courses for absolute beginners are starting soon at Venus Pole London 🌻 This is the perfect introduction to pole dancing if you’ve been thinking of giving it a go: we start from the absolute foundations and build new skills layer by layer every week. Very different to how I started pole dancing in strip clubs i.e. “get shit-faced and hope for the best”, which I learned during my pole dance instructor training is “not the recommended warm-up.”

I also teach a weekly choreography class for beginners on Wednesdays at 5.15pm for folks who wanna JUST DANCE. No previous experience required, and the class is open to all ages, genders and levels of fitness, including “help what is fitness” 🐌
